As part of the Chinese Film Festival Leipzig, the Cinémathèque at the naTo is showing the Hong Kong feature film "The Sunny Side of the Street" in Urdu and Cantonese with subtitles.
Plot
Pak-Yat, a taxi driver in Hong Kong, estranged from his family, drowns his dissatisfaction in beer and hatred towards foreigners. When his conflict with an illegal immigrant from Pakistan escalates into a car accident, guilt forces him to question his prejudices and take responsibility for the teenager Hassan.
