Abstract
Juliane Stein studied Prehistory and Classical Archaeology at Leipzig University. She developed her research focus on the Bronze and Iron Ages of the Levant during her stay at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev and while participating in different excavation projects in Israel (Megiddo, Tell Keisan, Ashdod-Yam, Qubur al-Walaydah). She is currently pursuing her dissertation on "Tell Rifaat/Arpad: Archaeology of an Aramean(?) City" with a focus on the 1st millennium BCE in Northern Syria in cooperation with Ben-Gurion University and University College London.
