I have received my Bachelor’s degree in Languages, History and Cultures of the Middle East and Philosophy at Tuebingen University. During my Master’s degree in the same field I was able to study Persian Linguistics, Literature and History at Tarbiat Modares University in Tehran, Iran and gather work experience during an internship at the Orient-Institut in Beirut, Lebanon. Since October 2020 I have been working as a research assistant at the Institute of Oriental Studies of the University of Leipzig, where I conduct research within the scope of the DFG Priority Programme 1981 “Transottomanica: Osteuropäisch-osmanisch-persische Mobilitätsdynamiken”. In the course of this research I am working on my dissertation project with the title "Inner-Islamic Transfer of Knowledge in the Ottoman Empire: on Translations of Works of Islamic Mysticism within Transregional Sufi Networks in the Anatolian and Arab Provinces" under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Verena Klemm.
