Lecture Series Summer Semester 2023
Lecture Series Contested Ecologies
Dear students and faculty, dear all,
We - the Institutes of Anthropology and African Studies of Leipzig University - happily announce our new lecture series Contested Ecologies.
On 12th June 2023 the lecture with Amy Leia McLachlan will take place online via the following Link.
The series consists of nine Monday lectures (5:15 to 6:45 pm, GMT+2, first lecture on April 24th) which explore new challenges to engage diverse publics in the negotiation of what counts as an ecologically 'better' world. Scholars concerned with extractive activities, toxicity, human/other-than-human entanglements and other themes will speak about their research, and invite us into regional/national contexts as diverse as Burkina Faso, Tanzania, Colombia, India, Sudan or Timor-Leste. You may join the series in person (Lecture Hall 10, HSG), or online via the Zoom Link provided below.
