Through the display windows of the Classical Archaeology Study Hall at Ritterstrasse 14, part of our plaster cast collection can be viewed day and night.
In the eye of the beholder. Roman emperors in pictures and text
The current exhibition in the Window Gallery brings Roman emperors face to face with the viewer.
Photographs also document how the plaster cast collection has been stored in different depots over time and how it is preserved today.
The current exhibition was jointly conceived and developed by students of Classical Archaeology and Educational Science.
Visitors are invited to take a closer look at the Roman imperial portraits whilst passing the window display on their way to the Antikenmuseum.
